Before you start
- Sign in as the workspace owner or an admin to use business-wide Finances and standalone entries.
- Check existing payments before adding money that may already have been recorded automatically by Stripe.
What you will learn
- Record income and spending without creating a fake project.
- Keep invoice balances separate from unrelated business income.
- Review cash totals and edit mistaken manual entries.
Step-by-step
Choose the right entry
Use Record payment for money received or Add expense for a business cost. Both buttons are available from the Finances tabs.
Choose a project only if relevant
Leave Project empty for general business income, rent or software. Choose a project for a job-related record. To pay down an invoice, select its project and link the actual invoice rather than recording unrelated business income.
Review and save
Enter the amount, date, status and relevant method or category. A manual payment records a transaction; it does not charge a card, transfer money or send a client email.
Review the right financial view
Use Overview for the business picture, Payments for received money and Expenses for spending. Filter the list when investigating a period or a particular record. Check payment status as well as amount: an expected or pending transaction is not the same as cash already received. A business record labelled No project is intentional, not a broken project link.
Check reports or correct an entry
Standalone entries are labelled Business · No project. Review them in the payment or expense list and your financial totals. Edit or delete a mistaken manual business entry; linked invoice payments and Stripe refunds keep their separate safeguards.
Business-wide finances are private
Owners and admins can see the workspace's financial overview and standalone business entries. Project managers work with permitted project finances; they do not receive access to unrelated business income and expenses.
- Use the correct business currency when entering amounts.
- Do not record a Stripe payment again as a manual payment.
- Flovuni's reports do not replace bookkeeping, tax advice or bank reconciliation.

Review revenue, expenses, outstanding balances, and the progress from quote to payment.
Recording a cost does not reduce what the client owes on an invoice. Record each real transaction only once.

Does Record payment charge my client?
